The Pagani Zonda F

The Pagani Zonda F was designed to reflect the shared philosophy between Horacio Pagani and world champion race driver Juan Manuel Fangio of performance, safety and innovation. Their friendship spanned decades and most importantly Fangio introducing him to doctor Dieter Zietsche, head engineer at Mercedes, who months later would agree to supply the V12 that would power his prototype just before his death.

The 12-cylinder Mercedes-AMG has been evolved to have more lightweight components giving it an improved power delivery and a maximum output of 650hp and 580lb ft of torque. The length of the intake manifolds were optimized to aid in its amazing power delivery with peak torque coming in at just 3,800rpm. 

Just like the Zonda S 7.3 and the Zonda Roadster, the Zonda F utilized a Mercedes-sourced, 60-degree, 7.3-liter V-12. This engine, however, was offered in two different flavors. In base form, it produced 602 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. If the Clubsport model was optioned, the engine was further enhanced with a new, longer intake manifold which brought the power output up to 650 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque.

Zonda F is the first car ever to display, upon client’s request, an exclusive bodywork in natural surface carbon fiber, according to a project philosophy which is just as transparent, pure and natural. Examples in the car include the Nardi steering wheel sculpted out of precious wood and finished by hand or the new dashboard inspired by the art and craft of antique master clockmakers.
