Limited to 200 units, Vantage AMR is the answer to all you Vantage fans who had a teardrop running down their cheek when they saw there wasn't a manual option for the new Vantage as it comes with three pedals! 141 of the 200 will be available in either Sabiro Blue, Onyx Black, China Grey or White Stone with the final 59 coming in a bespoke spec. Dubbed the "59" they are designed to honor the 60th anniversary of Aston Martin's triumphant win at the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Developed by Granziano, the AMR's 7-speed, dogleg, manual transmission first made its appearance on the previous generation V12 Vantage S and is fitted with Aston Martin's Amshift. Amshift is a rev-matching system that allows for full-throttle upshifts and can be turned on or off by the driver. Coupled to the transmission is a new limited slip differential developed by Aston Martin's racing team delivering its 503hp (same as the standard Vantage) to the rear wheels. With carbon ceramic brakes fitted as standard and a 200lb diet thanks to the manual transmission (and ceramic brakes) the car has superior stopping power over the standard Vantage but reportedly has a slower 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds compared to the standard car's 3.5 seconds.

After reading the first sentence, I'm sure you're wondering if the manual option will make its way to the standard Vantage. The answer to that question is YES! If you aren't one of the 200 people to fork out the extra $30k (or $60k for the "59"), you will have to wait until the first quarter of 2020 to get your hands on one.
