Aston Martin Zagato Shooting Brake

Only a handful of Aston Martin models over the years have been fortunate enough to receive rejuvenated designs by Zagato, however the ones that did have gone on to be some of the most valuable Aston Martin in existence. Starting in the 1960s with the breathtaking a DB4GT Zagato, the partnership remained dormant over nearly 20 years before the two came together in 1986 with the V8 Vantage. Jump another 20 years ahead to the early 2000s, and you will find the DB7 Zagato followed shortly after with a V12 Vantage Zagato and finally, the modern Vanquish Zagato that was unveiled at the 2016 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.

Built on the Vanquish platform the 2-door coupe featured a variety of typical Zagato flair while maintaining its Aston Martin presence. Shortly following the coupe's release several other body types were introduced including a Volante, Roadster and arguably the best-looking Shooting Brake.

The Italian coachwork is made of 100% carbon fiber using larger panels and fewer split lines than the standard body panels to help craft the appearance as if it was sculpted from a single piece of metal. Beneath the bonnet is the same naturally aspirated 6.0L V12, we know of from the original Vanquish that produces 580bhp and 630nm of torque that propels the car to 62mph in just 3.5 seconds. However, Aston Martin fitted a more free-flowing exhaust system for a more aggressive exhaust note and slightly stiffer suspension.

Truly stunning to behold and arguably one of the most compelling Aston Martin design's to date in the 21st Century, The Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake is a masterpiece of automotive engineering.
