DBS 59 is a realization of the team at 'Q' by Aston Martin, the brand's unique personalization service that allows for the creation of iconic, bespoke sports cars — commissioned by Aston Martin Cambridge the DBS 59 honors the historic 1-2 finish the DBR1 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans piloted by the like of Caroll Shelby, Roy Salvadori, Maurice Trinitignant and Paul Frere.

The run of 24 bespoke DBS Superleggeras feature various styling cues to honor the DBR1 including its British Racing Green paint color and various bronze details like the grill, brake calipers, Superleggera bonnet badging and 21" forged Y spoke satin wheels. On the interior, you will find a matching weave on the seat backs and door inserts made of heritage style material. Details continue to the sun visor where you can find the date the race took place and the number of laps completed in 24 hours which was 323 laps and the rear speaker cover that features an embroidery of the 1959 Le Mans circuit.

Aston Martin Direct-Q and VIP Sales, Simone Lane, said: "The ‘DBS 59’ strikes a careful balance between a timeless design that respects our history and a modern take that celebrates our future. The DBS Superleggera is the most powerful production car ever produced by Aston Martin, and so it is fitting that the ‘DBS 59’ special editions have been commissioned to mark sixty years since our iconic 1-2 win at Le Mans.” I think they aced the spec on the DBS 59 and love it when manufacturers produce limited bespoke models that allow their designers to think outside the box.
